We have rules at Acorn Oaks Campground to allow everyone to enjoy their experience. Please abide by these simple rules for everyone’s enjoyment.
- Check-In / Check-Out Times: Check-in from 3:00 PM-10:00 PM. Check-out for Rentals is 11:00 AM. Check-out for RV/Tent sites is 1:00 PM. Anyone arriving after 8:00 PM needs to make prior arrangements with the campground office. Remember that we are in the Eastern time zone.
- Late Check-Out: Please make arrangements with the office for a late check out. If you are still on site after 2:00 PM, you will be charged for an additional day.
- Quiet Time: Quiet hours are from 10:00 PM until 8:00 AM, Sunday through Thursday, and 11:00 PM until 8:00 AM on Friday and Saturday. Please respect your fellow campers!
- Speed Limit: The park speed limit is 5 MPH and is strictly enforced!
- Children: Parents are responsible for their children at all times and must ensure they are respectful in all buildings and in the park. All children must be on your site by quiet time.
- Campsite: Day Visitors $5.00 per person, per day and must check in at the camp office. Maximum of 8 persons overnight in any RV site, tent site or rental unit (based on size). Each campsite is allowed 2 vehicles. Overflow parking is available for $5 per vehicle or trailer per day. Inquire at the campground office. No dumping of gray water or sewer on the ground at any time. Please immediately contact the front office if a spill occurs.
- Damage: Damages to cabins or campsites will be repaired at the camper’s expense.
- Water Usage: Washing of campers, ORVs, vehicles, bicycles, and boats is prohibited.
- Anti-Siphon Vacuum Breakers: These are attached to each hose bib at every site, they are spray painted orange and secured with a set screw. This is a state requirement, if the Anti-Siphon Vacuum Breaker is removed from your site after check out a $20 fee will be charged to replace it.
- Pets: Pets must be kept on a leash at all times unless in the designated dog park. No exotic pets or animals with an aggressive disposition are allowed. Please clean up after your dog immediately and discard appropriately (no burning). Pets may not be left outside unattended at the campsite. Excessive barking will not be tolerated.
- Campfires: Campfires must be kept in fire rings. Do not leave fires unattended. No outside firewood allowed. No foraging for firewood or cutting/breaking of trees allowed. Fire rings should not be used as “garbage pits”. Trash receptacles can be found throughout the campground. No nails, glass, metal, or plastic in the fire ring. Fire rings are cleaned after each visitor, and a $20 fee will be charged for debris found in the fire ring. Firewood is for sale at the camp store.
- Cleanliness: Please do not discard cigarette/cigar butts on the park grounds at any time. Ensure your campsite is clean and free of debris at all times. Trash cans and dumpsters are throughout the park for your convenience.
- Fireworks: Fireworks are prohibited, including sparklers!
- Firearms: No firearms, air guns, BB guns, paintball guns, bow/arrows or sling shots.
- Alcohol: We are a family campground, all alcoholic beverages must be consumed responsibly. Drunken behavior, at management’s discretion, will not be tolerated. No underage drinking or illegal drug use allowed.
- Fishing: Catch and release fishing only. Please respect our wildlife. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Watch your children carefully when they are around the water.
- Swimming: There is NO LIFEGUARD ON DUTY and NO SWIMMING AFTER DARK. All children must be accompanied by an adult. No one should swim alone. No glass is allowed on the beach. Watch your children carefully when they are in or around the water. We recommend life jackets for anyone who is not a strong swimmer. Swimming hours will be posted each week in our activity schedule.
- Amenities and Activities: These are for the enjoyment of all guests, some additional fees may apply. Manager has all rights to open or close any amenity or activity as they see fit. Abuse or disrespect to any amenity or activity may forfeit your use and may have fees applied if damages occur. Please see our weekly Activity Schedule for each week's amenities and activities times and locations.
- Walking Trails: Paths through the woods are for bicycles, walking or golf carts only. No cars or trucks.
- Golf Carts: Electric golf carts only, no gas golf carts allowed. Please drive slowly (5 MPH) while in camp. Golf cart drivers must be a licensed driver or accompanied by a licensed driver and owners assume all responsibility. Overflow parking for trailers is available for $5 per day. Please make arrangements with the camp office.
- Refunds: We do not charge extra for sunshine and we do not give refunds when it rains. Keep in mind that camping is an outdoor experience. You will encounter nature, including wildlife, insects and changes in the weather. We do not give refunds for shortened stays. We may also require you to leave without a refund without any reason, including but without limitation, for unruly behavior, objectionable behavior, drunkenness, disrespecting other guests or staff, or violation of any park rules.
- RV’s: Must be in clean working order, 20 years or less in age, and up to manager discretion.
- General Liability: It is a privilege to stay here, we provide an outdoor hospitality experience, we do not provide temporary or permanent housing for any reason. Anyone accused of attempting to make this their residence will be asked to leave and or escorted off the premises by local law enforcement. All persons using the campground and your site agree to abide by and be subject to all federal, state and local laws and regulations established for the use and occupancy of campgrounds. This property is privately owned. The camper accepts camping privileges with the understanding that he/she does hereby forever release, hold harmless and indemnify the campground, its officers and employees of any and all liability whatsoever for loss or damage to property and injury to his person arising out of his/her/its use of its camping facilities, and agree to indemnify and hold harmless the campground, its owners, officers and employees, against claims resulting from loss of damage to property or injury to the person or any member of the family or guest of the registered Camper arising out of the use of its camping facility.
